Academy travelled to Mosset Park today and pulled off a fine 3-1 win to keep them at the top of the table. The result stretched the Scorries unbeaten league run to 13 games - 12 wins and a draw.
James More started between the sticks for Academy and with Sean McCarthy out injured Michael Gray returned to the Academy ranks. Sam Mackay was unavailable through wok commitments, but Davie Allan returned after sitting out his one match suspension.
Academy got off to a great start going a goal up inside 7 minutes. The move started with Lukasz Geruzel just inside the Forres half. He took a high ball down, turned and played it wide up the right flank to Davie Allan. He hit the bye-line and crossed for Richard Macadie to tap home at the back post.

On the half-hour Academy created another good chance when Grant Campbell had a shot that was deflected wide for a corner.
7 minutes later Forres crafted their first decent chance of the game. Dachi Khutsishvili slid a good ball into the feet of Andrew Fraser who worked his way into the Academy box down the left channel and he got his shot on target but James More got both hands to it to turn it around the post.
Duncan Jones picked up a booking for the Can-Can's just before the break and that concluded the first half action with Academy holding a slender advantage.

Academy kept on the attack and on 58 minutes Macadie played a neat one-two with Geruzel which sent Macadie free into the box but his left foot shot across the face of goal went just wide of the post.
Forres almost levelled the scores when a cross from the left by Craig McGovern found Lee Fraser free about 7 yards from goal and his glancing header looked bound for the bottom corner but More got down to pull off a superb save to tip it around his post.
Ten minutes from full-time Academy sealed the win. Steven Anderson won the ball inside the Academy half and he drove forward at the Forres defence. He played a one-two with Geruzel and found himself one-on-one with keeper Knight who saved Anderson's first shot but the Academy striker reacted quickly and stuck home the re-bound.
