Academy travelled to Claggan Park today without the services of several key players. Ross Allan is still out injured whilst brother Davie was suspended. Michael Gray and Lukasz Geruzel also missed the trip as they were in action in the Highland Amateur Cup playing for Pentland United.
The home side we first to have a half-chance when a header from MacLellan flashed just wide of the post.
Sam Mackay should have opened the scoring on 21 minutes when he found himself clean through on goal but the Fort keeper Robin Harvey pulled off a great save to keep the scores to zero.
Into first-half stoppage time referee Douglass Ross adjudged Iain Foggo to have handled the ball inside the box from a Sam Mackay shot and he awarded Academy a penalty. Richard Macadie claimed the ball and made no mistake in finding the net sending the home keeper the wrong way.
