Co-managers Tichie and Zeeky took charge of their final Academy game today and signed off with an impressive 5-0 win which equals our record league away win which was achieved at Lossiemouth two weeks ago. The result also sees Academy keep a clean sheet for three games in a row. Academy were short of several regulars today including Shaun Sinclair, Martin Gunn and Andrew MacLeod. Sam Mackay started his first game since the 19th of March. Colin Sinclair and several of the Academy under 17 squad are also included in the squad.
On a bright sunny day at Mackessack Park Academy control the game from the kick-off applying constant pressure and forcing a string of half a dozen corners.
The Scorries opened the scoring in the 9th minute. Bryan McKiddie picked the ball up in the middle of the park and fed Stevie Cunningham through the centre of the Rothes defence. He marched through the middle and slid the ball under keeper Horne for his 9th league goal of the season.
0 - 1
Academy continued to apply good pressure on the home side and they doubled their lead on 20 minutes. Richard Macadie squared the ball to Cunningham on the edge of the box and he slid his second goal of the game under the body of Horne to put his league tally for the season into double figures.
0 - 2
Academy continue to dominate the game and have had countless chances to increase the lead. Mackay and Macadie have had great chances with a Macadie header cleared off the line and Rothes thus far haven't had a shot on target.
Rothes win their first corner in 42 minutes. The ball is swung in and everyone missed it as it swirled in the wind. The Rothes players claimed it crossed the line but referee Fraser waved play on. Academy broke up field on the counter and Macadie linked up with Sam Mackay who closed in on goal from the right hand side and rifled a shot into the Rothes goal to give the Scorries a commanding lead going into the half-time break.

Half time 0 - 3
Academy increase their lead 4 minutes into the second half. Colin Sinclair and David Allan link up well to bring the ball forward. Allan swung a cross into the box that is half cleared by Stephen Fraser. The ball looped up in the air and Macadie pounced to score with his second headed goal in consecutive weeks. The goal takes Macadie's league total for this season to 24 which is a league scoring record for a single season. The previous highest league goal total was 22 scored by Craig Gunn in season 2003/04.
0 - 4
Academy go nap in the 55th minute. Mackay broke up the line and cut inside to the edge of the box. He turned and beat his man and hit a shot off the outside of his right foot that keeper Horne some-how managed to keep out but Weir was on hand for the simplest of tap-ins.
0 - 5
Rothes have a half chance to pull a goal back on 85 minutes. A clearance in the Academy box smacked off the back of Allan Farquhar and Bokas made a diving save to turn the ball round his post.
Academy are well in control and have taken their foot off the gas and see the game through to the end with their 3rd clean sheet on the spin.
Full Time 0 - 5
Academy finish the season in 14th spot in the league with a points total of 39. On recent form over the last 6 games Academy have the 4th best record in the league with 4 wins and 2 losses.
