Andrew MacLeod and David Allan were suspended following their red cards on Wednesday night, and Martin Gunn, Sam Mackay, Alan Farquhar, Joe Steven, and Alex Lamb were all either injured or unavailable for selection.
Murray Coghill, Stuart Florence and Alan Sinclair were drafted in to bolster the youngsters that took their place on the bench and Academy were a good match for Buckie in a first half that ended all square at 1-1. Lewis MacKinnon opened the scoring with a bullet of a header from a corner kick, but Academy drew level with a well taken goal from Gary Weir. Two second half goals in as many minutes from Donnie Munro really sealed the points for Buckie, and Martin Charelsworth put the icing on the cake with Buckies fourth 17 minutes from full-time.
In an even first half it was Buckie who drew first blood on seven minutes, a Paul Napier corner was met by the unmarked Lewis MacKinnon and he powered a header home to give Buckie the perfect start.
Buckie failed to hold onto their lead and two minutes later Academy drew level, Stevie Cunningham played a low free-kick down the right which caught Buckie napping and the ball found Gary Weir, he managed to beat Kevin Main to the ball and his low effort found the bottom corner.

Buckie came racing out the traps in the second half and within a minute played they nearly scored. Gary Clark robbed Bryan Mckiddie and he played the ball into Paul Napier and his shot was saved by the feet of Alan Bokas.
Two minutes later and it was Macrae who was denied by Bokas. A low cross from Napier found Macrae and his half volley was superbly tipped over the bar by the Academy keeper.
Buckie finally got their second goal on sixty three minutes, a cross in the box looked to be heading straight to Bokas but the wind took the ball away from him at the last second and the ball struck off a Buckie player to hit the post and then Donnie Munro was on hand to tuck the ball home from a yard out.
Two minutes later and Buckie added a third. Donnie Munro played a one two with Ian Murray and Munro's effort took a slight deflection to end up in the net via the post.
The game was made safe by Buckie on seventy three minutes when they added a fourth. Wick failed to clear a free-kick and the ball kindly to Martin Charlesworth inside the six yard box and although he scuffed his shot the ball still ended up in the back of the net.
Donnie Munro should have added his third and Buckies fifth on seventy nine minutes, a cross from Clark found Munro at the back post but he could only smack the ball against the face of the bar.
