Academy are back to league business today with a trip to Lossiemouth. Alex Lamb is unavailabe for today's game, and Greg Shearer gets a start. It's a nice clear sunny day in Lossiemouth and the game has just kicked off.

With 8 minutes played Academy get their first scoring opportunity of the game. MacKenzie whipped a great cross into the Lossie box and Craig Shearer headed inches wide of target.

In the 20th minute Macadie slotted a ball through the heart of the Lossie defence to the feet of Weir. He evaded three defenders but his shot landed in the side-netting.

MacMillan has had a quiet start to the game with nothing so-far to do in the way of goal-mouth action. The most activity in the Academy box has come from MacLeod having to tie MacMillans boot laces shortly after kick-off.

In 25 minutes Lossie have their first goal-scoring chance. Reid sent a high ball over the top of the Academy back line for McGregor but he scuffed his shot and the ball trickled just wide of MacMillan's right hand post.

In the 27th minute Academy open the scoring. Good mid-field play saw Craig Shearer send the ball through to an on-rushing MacKenzie. He took his time and calmly slotted the ball past keeper McConnachie from 8 yards out.

0 - 1

Lossie were only minutes in finding the perfect reply. Poor control by Martin Gunn in the middle of the field saw Bagley steal the ball. He sent a low cross into the Academy box which was met by Urquhart. MacMillan got a hand to his shot but the ball ended up in the roof of the net.

1 - 1

Minutes later and Academy re-take the lead. MacKenzie went on a run up the left wing before sending the ball forward to Manson. He crossed into the Lossie box for Craig Shearer who got a shot on target that was parried by keeper McConnachie. The ball however fell to Davie Cowie and he hammer home from 4 yards out.

1 - 2

Davie Cowie has two further good goal-scoring opportunities before the break. In the 38th minute he managed to get through the Lossie back-line and went one-on-one with keeper McConnachie, but he made a good save. Five minutes later Cowie found himself free in the box again, but he delayed in taking his shot and that allowed a defender to nick the ball off his toes.

Academy have pressed hard for the whole of the first half and on balance have so-far been the better side.

Half Time 1 - 2

In the opening 15 minutes of the second half Lossiemouth have looked more threatening on the break, having tested MacMillan with a good attempt on target, and also hitting the cross bar.

Academy make their first change on the hour mark with Bryan McKiddie coming on for Greg Shearer. Brother Craig has now fallen back into a more defensive role.

With 15 minutes left to play it's end-to-end stuff but neither side have had many more clear-cut chances at goal.

With 4 minutes left on the clock Academy make another change, Grant MacNab coming on for Gary Weir

An entertaining last 5 minutes with the Lossiemouth keeper coming up the park for a corner-kick in the dying seconds, but Academy head back up the A9 with all 3 points.
