Late Fraserburgh goal breaks Academy hearts
Fraserburgh 3 - Wick Academy 2
In blustery conditions at Bellslea Park it was Fraserburgh who drew first blood when Peter Alexander Bruce scored after 17 minutes. The home side doubled their advantage when Michael Gray keeper saved from Scott Fowlie but Willie West was on hand to net the rebound. Lukasz Geruzel pulled one back with a header. In the second half Michael Steven was shown 2 yellow cards to put the Scorries down to 10 men, before Sam Mackay equalised for the Scorries. Deep into injury time the Broch netted a winner when Russell McBride headed home from a free-kick.
Huntly 1 - Forres Mechanics 2
Forres took the lead away to Huntly in the 21st minute when Kris Duncan netted from Simon Allan's corner. Four minutes later and the Mechanics doubled their lead when Scott Lawrie cut in from the right and fired home a low shot at the near post. Straight away Huntly pulled one back thanks to a well-placed finish from Marek Madle, this goal completed the scoring and Forres held on to claim the three points.
Turriff United 2 - Inverurie Locos 3
Inverurie Locos came out on top in a five goal thriller away to Turriff. The home side opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Chris Herd netted. Inverurie levelled when Neil Gauld hooked the ball over the keeper. Locos captain Neil McLean gave the away side the lead just before half-time from a free-kick. James Brownie drew Turriff level when he netted at the second attempt. Gauld popped up with the winner for the locos when he netted from Dean Donaldson's header across goal.
Deveronvale 5 - Strathspey Thistle 1
Deveronvale went nap at home to Strathspey in windy conditions. Graeme Rodger gave the Vale the lead from 18 yards before Craig Cowie made it two with a header. Shawn Scott added two goals either side of the interval before Simpson completed the scoring for the home side. Ronnie Jones scored a consolation for Strathspey with eight minutes remaining.
Clachnacuddin 5 - Lossiemouth 0
Clach took the lead at home to Lossiemouth in the 8th minute when Gordon Morrison netted from the spot. Morrison turned provider when he beat the Lossie keeper to the ball and Martin Laing netted. Morrison added his second when he netted a rebound after his first shot had been blocked. Clach added a fourth when keeper Jamie Fraser's long kicked bounced over the Lossie keeper and into the net. Sean Ellis completed the scoring with a cross-cum shot.
Rothes 3 - Keith 5
Keith overcame Rothes in an eight goal thriller. Keith took the lead when Calum Dingwall netted. Andy MacAskill added a second for the away side before Matthew McDonald scored on his début to make it 3-0. Ross Gibbs pulled one back before Ben Stewart added a second for Rothes. McDonald added a fourth before Andrew Corbett took Rothes back into the game with 20 minutes remaining but MacAskill made sure of the points 4 minutes from the end.
Formartine United 4 - Fort William 0
Formartine recorded a 4-0 win at home to Fort William. Craig McKeown opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, just seconds later Michael Ewen added a second. Daniel Park added a third just before half-time before Park added a second in the 67th minute to complete the scoring.
Nairn County 3 - Cove Rangers 3
Cove threw away a two goal lead away to Nairn. The champions took the lead in the 30th minute when Ryan Stott set-up Jamie Lennox to net. The visitors added a second when Lennox turned provider for Stott to net from 35 yards. Just after the restart Steven Ellis gave the home side hope when he netted. Nairn drew level in the 66th minute when Conor Gethins blasted home from 6 yards. Two minutes later Gethins gave Nairn the lead for the first time but they could not hold and Jonny Smith netted after the keeper failed to hold onto a Clark Bain shot to ensure a share of the spoils.
Buckie Thistle A - Brora Rangers A
The game between Buckie and Brora was abandoned after 26 minutes due to high winds.
