At the other end of the field Academy then had a chance but a shot from Ross MacIver from the edge of the box curled just wide of target.

Richard Macadie then had an effort on target bit Joe Malin collected it comfortably.

On 10 minutes Brora took the lead. Zander Sutherland fired a long ball up to Andrew Greig and he ran ono it before coolly slotting passed McCarthy from about 8 yards out.

Sutherland had a shot that was just wide of target before Brora had a penalty shout of their own when they claimed that Andrew Greig was fouled by Brandon Sinclair, but again the referee waved play on.

Both number 9's, Sutherland and Weir, made their way into the referee's notebook as they had a wee altercation off the ball which earned them both a yellow card.
